Process Control Technologist - Within Netherlands, Across Netherlands

Our client is part of a global group of energy and petrochemical companies. Downstream encompasses all the activities necessary to transform crude oil into petroleum products and
petrochemicals, and deliver them around the world.

Our clients' Downstream businesses refine, supply, trade and ship crude oil worldwide, and manufacture, transport and market fuels, lubricants, bitumen, LPG and bulk petrochemicals for domestic, transportation and industrial use. Altogether, the
organisation employs some 80,000 people.

The technology services department at the Moerdijk production facility provides process technology, process engineering,
process safety and process control services. The process control section gives support in the field of advanced process
control, base layer process control, dynamic simulations and alarm management to the operational units.

For our client we a’re currently looking to recruit a Process Control Technologist to join a team of four and work on a wide range of activities, including project initiation and day-to-day trouble shooting.

Key responsibilities

As a Process Control Technologist, you’ll work in a pro-active manner with operations, process technology and
instrumentation to improve the existing base layer controls and alarm system, and to design and implement new (advanced)
process controls.

You’ll also be responsible for providing first class advice and expertise to the operation units.

Requirements

With an educational background in mechanical or chemical engineering, you’ll have a good knowledge of process control
theory. Fluent in English and Dutch – or willing to learn Dutch – we’ll expect you to have good verbal and written
communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

In addition, you’ll possess significant experience as a process control engineer, both in base layer as well as in advanced process control, at either a refinery or petrochemical production site.
