The materials, corrosion, inspection and integrity delivery group supports the groups' business activities in downstream manufacturing and marketing, gas and liquefied natural gas, upstream production and project management. The group also delivers services to worldwide companies outside the group.

We're currently looking to recruit a Senior Inspection Technology Engineer to join a group of highly professional NDT and inspection engineers in Amsterdam.

Key responsibilities

As Senior Inspection Technology Engineer, you'll help to ensure the integrity, reliability and sustainability of pipeline assets worldwide through the effective contribution of Non Destructive Testing (NDT) information, knowledge and application. In many cases, these services will be delivered in parallel with material degradation studies and as part of an overall inspection management programme. We'll also expect you to ensure that a high level of NDT technology know-how, information and experience is maintained within the delivery group.

Your principal responsibilities will include providing NDT engineering consultancy services, with the emphasis on pipelines and intelligent pigging to the group and non-group companies in the area of exploration and production, refineries and other manufacturing facilities. You'll also support the inspection technology group in the execution of R&D programmes, with a particular emphasis on pipeline inspection technologies.

In addition, you'll be expected to maintain and improve relations with clients, external technology suppliers in the field of pipeline inspection and other stakeholders. You'll also ensure that knowledge and expertise on pipeline inspection is kept up-to-date and disseminated to customers through IT, newsletters and meetings.

Requirements

With a degree in engineering or an equivalent discipline, you'll have experience in the field of pipeline inspection technology.

Certification in one or more of the NDT technologies e.g. Ultrasonics would put you at an advantage. Fluent in written and spoken English, you should also be prepared to undertake a certain amount of international travel.
