Our client is a global engineering and construction (E&C) organization of over 52.000 people and executes projects in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. In the Netherlands, they are the leading E&C firm serving clients from three offices; Leiden, Hoogvliet and Meerssen. Leiden is headquarter for the organisation in Northern Europe. With more than 1600 dedicated people involved in engineering, project delivery and consulting, they execute projects and programs for clients in major onshore and offshore markets: (petro) chemicals, oil and gas, energy, biopharma and technical consultancy.

Currently we are assisting our client in the search for Senior Civil & Structural Engineers (M/F).

Within our client, all discipline engineers work together in an integrated taskforce. Input will be delivered in the conceptual, basic as well as the detailed phase.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and understand client standards and specifications
• Execute Civil and/or Structural calculations conform applicable codes and standards in close cooperation with the other team members
• Evaluate and review detailed calculations from contractors
• Work according safety standards
• Assist with preparing proposals for projects
• Responsible for interdiscipline coordination to meet overall project requirements
• Responsible to ensure engineering meets client requirements
• Support Procurement in meetings with clients/vendors

Requirements

• BSc degree in Civil Engineering
• 6-12 years of experience in Civil and/or Structural engineering preferably in oil and gas production units, chemicals and polymers units or refinery
• Flexible, pro-active, good interpersonal skills, customer minded, presentation skills
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, both oral and written
• Computer skills for Civil and/or Structural calculations (Staad Pro)
• Comfortable with working in a 3D- design environment
